Quick Start Guide
Get an NFTree
You need a Kalijo NFTree to play. Each tree has unique visuals and can be upgraded with stats.
Unlock Stats
Pay SEED tokens (or kUSD) to unlock your tree's cosmic stats. These determine your survival chances.
Enter a Round
Choose an open round, pay the entry fee, and pick your position on the grid.
Wait for Events
Once the round starts, cosmic events will target and eliminate trees until winners remain.
Survive!
Your stats give you better survival odds. Higher stats = higher chance to dodge each event.
Claim Prizes
Winners can claim their share of the prize pool. Multiple winners per round!
The Stats System
Every NFTree has four cosmic stats that determine how well it survives different events. Stats range from 0-100, and higher is always better!
Resilience
Counters: Cosmic Storms
Your tree's ability to weather devastating storms. High Resilience means better survival when storms sweep across the grid.
Adaptation
Counters: Solar Flares
How quickly your tree adapts to extreme heat. Adaptation helps you survive when solar flares erupt nearby.
Fortification
Counters: Gravity Wells
Your tree's structural integrity and grip. Fortification helps resist the pull of gravity wells created by UFOs.
Cosmic Luck
Counters: Asteroid Strikes
Pure cosmic fortune! Lucky trees can dodge asteroid strikes that would eliminate others.
Your total stat points (sum of all 4 stats, max 400) determine your rarity tier:
Cosmic Events
Once a round starts, cosmic events fire in sequence until only the winners remain. Each event type targets trees differently and is countered by a specific stat.
Asteroid Strike
Asteroids target 1-3 random survivors directly. Your Cosmic Luck helps you dodge these cosmic missiles.
Targeting: Directly targets random survivors (position-agnostic)
Cosmic Storm
A devastating storm sweeps across an entire row or column. Trees with high Resilience can weather the storm.
Targeting: Affects an entire row OR column
Solar Flare
Solar flares erupt from a random point, affecting all trees within a 3×3 area. Adaptation helps you recover from the heat.
Targeting: 3×3 area around a random center point
Gravity Well
A UFO appears and creates a gravity well, pulling at trees in adjacent cells. Fortification helps you hold your ground.
Targeting: Ring of cells adjacent to center (8 cells max)
Supernova
The most devastating event! Targets multiple survivors based on how many remain. Your average of ALL stats determines survival.
Targeting: Scales with survivor count (1-4 targets)
When your tree is targeted by an event, the game rolls a random number (0-99). You survive if the roll is less than your survival chance:
Survival = 20 + (80/100) × 40 = 20 + 32 = 52%
Grid Sizes & Arenas
Rounds can use different grid sizes, each offering a unique gameplay experience:
Seedling Arena
16 slots
Perfect for beginners. Smaller grid means faster games and more concentrated action.
Grove Battleground
36 slots
Mid-sized arena with balanced gameplay. Great for mobile players.
Cosmic Forest
64 slots
The largest arena. Strategic positioning and more winners per round.
Prizes & Winning
The prize pool is funded by entry fees. Rounds have multiple winners (typically ~30% of entrants), with prizes distributed based on placement:

Players can enter the round and pay the entry fee. Pick your own spot on the grid, or use Quick Join for a random position!

Started
Entry period ended. Waiting for an admin to settle the round and run the simulation.

Settled
The game has been simulated! Watch the replay to see how your tree fared. Winners can claim prizes.

Cancelled
If a round doesn't get enough entries, it may be cancelled. All participants can claim a full refund.

Supernovas use your AVERAGE stat, so having balanced stats protects against this devastating event.
Favorite Your Trees
Star your favorite NFTs for quick access! Favorites appear first when selecting trees to enter rounds.
Bulk Entry
Enter multiple trees at once! Toggle multi-select mode to enter several NFTs in a single transaction.
Use Your Winnings
You can pay for new entries using unclaimed rewards! Toggle 'Pay with Balance' to replay without claiming first.
Game Tiers
Choose from $1, $5, or $10 entry tiers. Your preference is saved for next time!

Reroll Wisely
When unlocking stats, consider rerolling if your total is low. Higher totals mean better rarity and survival!

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this gambling?
Cosmic Grove is a blockchain-based game with entry fees and prizes. While there is an element of chance (the random cosmic events), your NFTree's stats significantly influence your survival odds. Play responsibly!
What happens if a round is cancelled?
If a round doesn't reach the minimum number of entries, it may be cancelled. All participants can claim a full refund of their entry fee.
Can I enter multiple times with the same NFT?
No, each NFT can only enter a round once. However, you can enter with different NFTs you own - use bulk entry to add multiple trees in one transaction!
Can I use my winnings to enter new rounds?
Yes! Toggle "Pay with Balance" on the game screen to use your unclaimed rewards for entry fees. If your balance is insufficient, the contract will use your wallet to cover the difference.
How is the winner determined?
When a round starts, the smart contract captures a unique game seed by combining block.prevrandao, the previous block hash, timestamp, entry count, and all entry positions. This seed drives a deterministic simulation where cosmic events fire in sequence and each tree rolls against its stats. The simulation generates an eventLogHash (keccak256 of the seed, all events, and winner) that's stored on-chain. When you watch a replay, the frontend re-runs the exact same simulation and verifies the computed hash matches the on-chain hash - proving the game was fair and unaltered.
Can I see how the game played out?
Yes! Once a round is settled, you can watch a full replay showing every cosmic event, every roll, and every elimination.
What tokens are used?
All rounds use kUSD tokens for both entry fees and prizes.
How do I unlock stats for my NFTree?
Visit the main NFTrees page, click on any of your trees, and use the upgrade dialog to unlock and reroll stats using SEED or kUSD tokens. Check out our Stats Guide for detailed information on unlocking, rerolling, and rarity tiers.

Cosmic Grove involves entry fees and prize pools, which are subject to gaming regulations in many jurisdictions. We restrict access in regions where such services are prohibited or require specific licensing. This includes countries with total bans (China, Singapore, Japan, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and others), regions with active ISP enforcement (Australia, UK, Germany, Italy, and others), and certain US states (NJ, PA, MI, NY).
